GREENVILLE, NC (WITN) – This week’s Pet of the Week from the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina is Cypress.

Cypress is a six-month-old retriever mix. Volunteers say his unique look, including blue eyes, catching a lot of eyes, but his fun personality is what makes people stay.

He is an adventurer and loves the water hose. Volunteers say he will do best with an active family.

If you are not looking to adopt, you can still give back to the organization by donating pate wet food. Volunteers say you can drop off canned food at the facility or purchase it through Amazon and send it straight to the humane society.

The humane society is joining Greenville Jaycees this Saturday for a Back to School Brewery Bonanza. Adoptable dogs will be at the event. There will also be live msuic, food trucks and breweries.

Everyone is encouraged to come to the event at Five Points Plaza from 4pm- 8pm.

The adoption center is open from 1 pm-5 pm on Thursday’s and Friday’s and from 9 am-12 pm on Saturday’s.

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina brings adoptable animals every Wednesday at 6:25 a.m. on Witn News at Sunrise.
