AZ Humane Society asks for help adopting 42 pets – ABC15 Arizona

NORTH PHOENIX — The Arizona Humane Society (AHS) is asking for the public’s help adopting 42 pets from the shelter due to emergency electrical repairs that shut down critical areas of the Sunnyslope campus.

In a statement to the press, AHS wrote, “The areas affected are Sunnyslope cat and dog adoptions, the behavior room, cat hospital and cat holding areas, and two critical medical areas – the Ring Room for cats being cared for with Ringworm as well as Mutternity Suites for moms and their babies.”

According to the press release, transport teams are relocating adoptable pets to

AHS’ Nina Mason Pullian Campus for Compassion,

located at 1521 W. Dobbins Road in Phoenix.

On Saturday, AHS had an Empty the Shelter adoption event that helped 449 animals find their fur-ever homes; however, 42 animals remain at the shelter and are waiting to be adopted.

“AHS is asking for the community’s help to get the remaining 42 adoptable pets into their forever homes as we expect kennels to fill up quickly,” AHS wrote in a statement.
