Meow Village is holding a cat adoption event 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18 at Tualatin Petsmart, 7029 S.W. Nyberg Street, Tualatin, 97062

The organization will be bringing many adult cats and lots of kittens to the event. If you’re looking for a new feline buddy, this is your event. Pictured are several of the kittens looking for homes. More information on these adorable 3-month-old kittens is available at the event or by contacting foster mom Suzanne 503-730-9087

Three-month-old Luna is a love bug of a kitten. She loves to be held and will fall asleep in your arms. Luna is good with other cats, kids, and friendly dogs. Sylvester is a sociable, playful, and happy little kitten known for doing aerial acrobatics while playing. The smallest of his litter, and the most outgoing, Sylvester is ready to find his forever home. Good with other cats, kids, and friendly dogs. Taz is a mellow and beautiful lynx point Siamese-mix boy. He is a bit shy and quiet, but with friends around he is happy. Tax loves to play with feather toys. This kitten is good around other cats, kids, and friendly dogs. Marco and Polo,  3-month-old bonded brothers, are a perfect pair. Happily full of kitten antics, Marco and Polo are ready to find a forever home. Both get along with other cats and kids. But due to bad experiences with dogs, they would do best with no dogs in the home. One example of this features the friendly clownfish Nemo and his side-kick Dory, a blue tang fish, who you may know from the animated blockbusters Finding Nemo and Finding Dory. Everyone loves Nemo. But to some, his rise to global stardom in 2003 had a darker side, as news outlets around the world reported that the popularity of the movie was leading an increasing number of people to buy clownfish as pets. The site of Brainerd area-based Barrett Petfood Innovations’ expansion was bustling with activity and excitement when ground was broken Monday, Aug. 12, in Little Falls in Morrison County. “We’re expanding … and the pet industry is — as everyone knows — that people love their pets,” Sarah Barrett said before the groundbreaking ceremony. “We’ve moved from pet owners to pet parents, and those are the people that we cater to.” Brother and sister Tom and Sarah Barrett are the managing directors of Barrett Petfood Innovations, which was founded by their father Mike.
